The Envision Research Institute selected Garrett Swan from the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Massachusetts Eye and Ear Ophthalmology Department, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, to receive the 2019 Envision-Atwell Award.

The award, which recognizes outstanding efforts in low vision research, was presented by ERI Director Ron Schuchard, Ph.D., FARVO.

The presentation took place during the Low Vision Research Group social hour held in conjunction with the 2019 Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) conference in Vancouver, B.C.

The Envision-Atwell Award is given to an ARVO presenter who is a junior investigator.
