Remembering "Blazin' Blake" Lindsay

The Envision community mourns the passing of Blake Lindsay, Manager of Outreach at Envision Dallas. Blake was a dedicated advocate and ambassador for people who are blind or visually impaired, known for his “love in action”, whose warmth and passion for helping others left a lasting impact on colleagues, clients, and the community.

Blake enjoyed a varied and successful career, with 22 years as a radio DJ, where his handle was Blazin’ Blake Lindsay, and later working for Bank of America, Dallas Area Rapid Transit and Zig Ziglar True Performance. Blake was an advocate for To Be Like Me, served as President of the Oak Cliff Lions Club, and various other community groups. In addition, Blake authored three books that shared his amazing life story as a blind individual and professional.

Blake spent the past 15 years, representing the blind or visually impaired community around the country. He led with integrity and was guided by a true calling to inspire others to reach their fullest potential.
