As excitement builds for the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship in Wichita, Envision Arts Gallery is proud to be part of “Bouncing through Downtown: Art & Basketball.” This public art initiative transforms downtown storefronts into basketball-inspired installations, celebrating creativity, accessibility, and community engagement.

At Envision Arts Gallery, our installation, “Braille in the Paint,” reimagines recycled basketballs to spell out “Wichita, KS” in Braille. A dynamic video display accompanies the installation, featuring Envision employees and supporters showcasing their basketball skills.

“‘Bouncing through Downtown’ is an incredible opportunity to highlight the creativity of artists who are blind or visually impaired while making public art more accessible to all,” said Sarah Kephart, Senior Manager, Envision Arts. “Through ‘Braille in the Paint,’ we are not only celebrating basketball and March Madness but also showcasing how art can engage multiple senses—sight, touch, and movement—to create a truly immersive experience.”

More than an art exhibit, this project aligns with Envision’s mission to make art inclusive and interactive. It challenges perceptions, raises awareness, and ensures that people of all abilities can experience and contribute to public art.

We invite our donors, supporters, and employees to experience this unique installation, on display until April 7. Thank you for supporting Envision and helping us create a more inclusive world—on and off the court!
