The Kansas State Use Program, managed by the Kansas Department of Administration’s Office of Procurement and Contracts, is dedicated to enhancing employment opportunities for Kansans who are blind, visually impaired (BVI), or disabled. By facilitating the sale of products created by employees who are BVI and disabled through qualified vendors such as Envision, the program helps these individuals achieve greater job stability and success.

In June, the Kansas State Use Committee convened to discuss matters pertaining to the program. The meeting included both committee members and non-profit vendors. Envision was represented by Buddy Sell, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of Government Channels; Kathy Vines, Senior Director of Customer and Channel Management; Marcie Shaffer, Customer Service Manager; and Andy Hoffman, Envision Interface Contact Center Supervisor Lead. Sell, who also serves as the Committee Chairman, co-led the meeting with Todd Herman, State Director of the Office of Procurement & Contracts. This meeting, held in Hutchinson, KS, provided an excellent platform for Envision to advocate for and support the products made by employees who are BVI at our manufacturing facility.

Following the meeting, a Vendor Fair was held, offering Envision and other vendors the opportunity to showcase their products and engage with State Procurement personnel. We are proud to be a part of the Kansas State Use Program and grateful for the opportunities it provides to support our mission.
