A Collaboration between Envision and Cargill Protein
A unique project has brought together sighted, blind and visually impaired individuals with the creation of a new Keeper of the Parade statue for Cargill. This statue was made by more than 30 different people from our Child Development Center, Art Program, Adult Day Support Program and Heartspring. This collaborative effort not only symbolizes the Wichita community's diversity but also showcases the extraordinary talents of individuals with visual impairments.
This statue, titled, 'PRISM', embodies a unique collection of glass cut to shape, arranged and artistically stylized to depict the elements of earth and the Kansas landscape. Resting in the palm of his hand is a glass, earth-shaped sphere with a prism inside, representing life. Through joint efforts, the goal is that this statue becomes a significant community landmark, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the community and the inclusive spirit of both Cargill and Envision.
'PRISM' is located outside Cargill headquarters in Wichita, KS at 825 E. Douglas Ave and is open to the public to view.
