Successful Envision Virtual Spring Conference

More than 230 people gathered online for the Envision Virtual Spring Conference presented by Envision University on March 26 and 27. In its sixteenth year, the Envision Conference included attendees, speakers and vendors from 39 states, the United States Minor Outlying Islands, Canada, Italy and Uganda. With nearly 30 clinical and research sessions, presented by 54 experts in the field, low vision professionals, researchers and specialists from the United States and other countries gained critical accredited continuing education training.

Topics included Closing the Gap: Addressing Diversity, Disparities and the Impact of COVID-19 Among the Visually Impaired, and Neglected Topics in Vision Impairment Research. One attendee commented, “I would not have been able to attend this conference if it were in-person, so I appreciated the opportunity to benefit from this virtual format.”

“Although challenging to hold an all-virtual, multi-track conference, the critical exchange of knowledge that participants gain from Envision Conference has a definite impact on the quality of low vision patient care worldwide,” said Michael Epp, Manager of Professional Education at Envision University. The next conference, Envision Conference East, will be held this coming August 20-21 at The Ohio State University College of Optometry in Columbus, Ohio.
